Eliza’s preferred branch of Yoga, is Hot-Yoga (or Bikram Yoga as it is also known). Hot-Yoga is comprised of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, practiced in a hot room set to 40° Celsius with about 60% humidity. The heat helps warm your muscles up and provides an environment for a thorough detox. Bikram describes it as flushing all toxins out of your system. A regular practice has many health benefits: from expanding your lung capacity to keeping your joints supple and healthy. Besides the physical benefits, there are emotional and mental benefits too: emotional reactions are tempered and quietening of mind chatter is cultivated. The journey is personal, and Eliza loves to share her Yoga experience with her students as well as hear all about theirs.
